Our Inception

Our company, formerly known as Soluble Therapeutics, was founded in 2008 out of a research collaboration between the laboratories of Dr. Larry DeLucas (Biochemistry Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, also an Astronaut) and Dr. Bill Wilson (Emeritus Chemistry Professor at the Mississippi State University). Dr. David Johnson, was a graduate student of Dr. DeLucas developed an automated and high-throughput machine, HSC Instrument (patented by The University of Alabama at Birmingham), to effectively screen thousands of possible formulation with only using 1 microgram of protein per tested formulation.
